Is it necessary to implement the lowering of age criminality in Philippines?

 

For me, Yes we need some reformation on juvenile act, children who has been involve in some criminal activities were confident enough that they will be protected the law on juvenile act and they know that they will not be put in prison because they are not yet qualified for criminal liabilities. Some criminal groups who used children to fulfill their evil plans will used juvenile act as their shield. as observed,  this law has been abused over the years since it was created. There is nothing wrong  with the implementation of reducing the age of criminality as long as it is in line with the due process of law. Even the BIBLE requires to discipline children in Proverbs 23:13-14 Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you punish them with the rod, they will not die. Punish them with the rod and save them from death.
